Jñāna Dīpa

The Lamp of Wisdom, the Gnosis within

Within your heart I dwell unseen

A witness still, serene, serene—

And when the night of doubt is long

I rise within, a flame, a song

Not from outside, nor far above

But born of truth within, and shaped by love—

I cast the veil of dark away

With light that dawns and does not fade

This light inside

Is devoid of all pride

It shines through a still

Unalloyed devotion

With Thy everlasting will

My whole body

Soulfully equipped

With Thine starfire

Holds this arc of life

Filled with knowledge and bliss

So no more worry

And no more fear

I can unwind and unwire

For I’m not in a hurry—

I’m already here

As Krishna states in Bhagavad Gītā 6.30:

Yo māṁ paśyati sarvatra

Sarvaṁ ca mayi paśyati

Tasyāhaṁ na praṇaśyāmi

Sa ca me na praṇaśyati

He who sees Me in all things,

and all things in Me,

Is never lost to Me,

nor am I ever lost to him.

Who sees Me in all, and all in Me

Sees through the veil of duality

Not lost am I to such a soul

Nor are they to Me — we are made whole

So are we

A living flame, both You and I

Distinct in form, yet never apart—

The wave dances lively, yet still is the sea—

Feel the Divine arrive silently;

Will Thy being — be free.

For as I was instilled

With this spark of the Vine

So too dwells Christed in you —

A loving heart, a living light

We are temples of the Vine

Like-minded Christed flames

Each one a unique arc of Divinity—

In form, in reverence, in awe

In service of Divine in the making
